I'll tell ya.. it's kind of a slap in the face when I'm out there shoveling away and my neighbor is across the street snow-blowing their lovely flat smaller-than-mine-by-a-long-shot driveway and sidewalks..
and these pictures don't even include the dozen or so steps out in front of our house or the sidewalk that goes across the front where there is a bus-stop.. yeah.
(says the lady who pulled out the snow pants to shovel in single digits yesterday only to find out they won't stay snapped.. i wore them anyway, my butt kept them from falling off..)
With many, many apologies to Shakespeare, I offer the following:
Blood and destruction shall be so in use, And dreadful objects so familiar, That mothers shall but smile when they behold Their drives cover’d with the piles of snow; All pity choked with custom of fell deeds: And Frosty's spirit, ranging for revenge, With Jack by his side come frozen from hell, Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the spades of war!...
M'lady, I am honored by your presence in the van! Thanks so much for coming along for the ride.
Yowza! You got a LOT more snow than we did - the whole Seattle school district closed today, and nothing happened, heheh. It's basically raining right now. I miss snow. ;)
Snow, snow, the beautiful snow! I've missed ya! (You, not the snow.) Hey, could you send me your email address? I need to send out a mass email for Blog The Rockies peeps. Contact me at jenboglass@yahoo.com. Thanks!
GF: yeah, but we have less snow than this time last year.. that stinks. lol.. :P
Kurt: I know, right? What's worse? once last year, my other neighbor was driving by while I was shoveling and stopped to suggest we consider a snow blower.. ugh. 'Sure, wanna buy one for me??'
SB: I miss you too!! I'll send you an email right away, grasshoppah. ;)
I'm a Christian punk mommy, married to my hardcore husband. California transplants, raising our 5 kids in the American Heartland. I've never quite fit in - either the good girl hanging out with the bad kids, or the bad girl hanging out with the good kids.. stuck somewhere in the middle, and liking it that way. My coffee is black, my music is Christian, and my truth is embellished. Enjoy.

That's too much work for one measly shovel.
I think you need to upgrade you weaponry to include a snow blower.
lol... wish we could afford one!

If I had a snowblower and saw a mommy across the street shoveling her walk, I'd totally volunteer my services. Tsk!
