But...I totally understand about wanting to give up. But we can't!!! So I will keep trudging through rejection e-mails while praying for a column of my own one day and you keep writing your novel, because it will happen for us!Petra a.k.a The Wise (*Young*) Mommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01717981499965181200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993556135507243510.post-91769620801270266642009-04-20T17:17:00.000-05:002009-04-20T17:17:00.000-05:00For what it's worth, I like Amelia's idea. There is a ring of truth that connects with a wider audience when a person fictionalizes what she lives everyday.Julenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09047502528740169595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993556135507243510.post-41789951835647730312009-04-17T23:54:00.000-05:002009-04-17T23:54:00.000-05:00I liked it, but have you not made progress because...I liked it, but have you not made progress because of the zoo or because your head just isn't in it right now? You can always shove the whole thing aside and start something new. Go back to it when it feels good again. That's cool that you can punch a story out in 30-60-90 days, but that doesn't mean you have to or even should. Take your time, gf. You know you got the skilz.Captain Dumbasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02214826608461609241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993556135507243510.post-48649412948913427722009-04-17T13:16:00.000-05:002009-04-17T13:16:00.000-05:00hi there, I like Lisa Brandos idea...but I haven't...hi there, I like Lisa Brandos idea...but I haven't read the first chapter. There's a lot of conflict going on within Jenna, she wants him, she wants him to go away, I could feel that pretty clearly. But truthfully, this isn't a story I'd really want to read any more of. I would like to hear more about a punk mommy raising 5 kids, issues negotiating family, spiritual, and social life. But maybe that's just me, and I just follow you on Twitter so I apologize if any of this seems unfounded. Maybe you've already written the book I've described. But I do want to encourage you! My sister joined a writing support group to help her work daily and she's found it helpful.amelioratorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08347165024343499065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993556135507243510.post-14205416590268832012009-04-17T12:18:00.000-05:002009-04-17T12:18:00.000-05:00I'm intrigued. Start it like that, then give the back story. Just a thought.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13045862656545224838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993556135507243510.post-7784267585866820152009-04-17T11:58:00.000-05:002009-04-17T11:58:00.000-05:00Yummy, butt soup. I do enjoy a good book though!Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05629507098900851541noreply@blogger.com
